چکیده
The automotive industry is a pioneer in solutions that meet market expectations. However, the industry, some less environmentally friendly technologies are still used, such as electroplating. Due to legislative restrictions several countries, thin coatings made vacuum have been replacing traditionally by electroplating, mainly decorative terms. This work more focused on use of these for optical applications, namely headlights and exterior backlit components. Although components protected during period use, there may be situations contact assembly or their repair, necessary safeguard ensure scratch wear resistance needed withstand any treatment deficiency operations referred above. Therefore, this essentially study Cr PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) polymeric substrates. To end, previously studied now subjected micro-abrasion tests, with view assessing resistance. For purpose, alumina abrasive has mechanisms observed were studied. abrasion tests showed most stable film one provided 10-layers, showing greater well, adhesion substrate cohesive failures performed tests. Given nature coating, results obtained very promising, 10-layer can overcome careless operation manufacturing, repair processes, when applied lightning motor vehicles.

Chromium carbide – nickel chromium powder Cr3C2-25wt.NiCr was plasma sprayed by a water-stabilized system WSP®. A series of experiments with variable feeding distance was carried out. Basic characterization of coatings was done by XRD, SEM and light microscopy plus image analysis. Microhardness was measured on polished cross sections. The main focus of investigation was on resistances against w...
متن کاملPVD coatings on aluminium substrates
It is well known that aluminium is today the most widely used metallic material besides steel. The mechanical characteristics of aluminium offer an increasing application field, especially where lightweight constructions are required. The demands for improved characteristics such as higher strength and greater durability are achieved by the development of new aluminium alloys. Continuous effort...
متن کاملTribological and Wear Performance of Nanocomposite PVD Hard Coatings Deposited on Aluminum Die Casting Tool
In the aluminum die casting process, erosion, corrosion, soldering, and die sticking have a significant influence on tool life and product quality. A number of coatings such as TiN, CrN, and (Cr,Al)N deposited by physical vapor deposition (PVD) have been employed to act as protective coatings due to their high hardness and chemical stability. In this study, the wear performance of two nanocompo...
متن کاملAntimicrobial titanium/silver PVD coatings on titanium
BACKGROUND Biofilm formation and deep infection of endoprostheses is a recurrent complication in implant surgery. Post-operative infections may be overcome by adjusting antimicrobial properties of the implant surface prior to implantation. In this work we described the development of an antimicrobial titanium/silver hard coating via the physical vapor deposition (PVD) process. METHODS Coating...
